If You want to reser the security system in the 2005 Dodge Magnum, You will insert the ignition key and turn it to the on spot, and then attempt to start the engine , the engine does not run. With the key still in the run spot, wait 10 minutes, and the safety light will flash and then go out. Sometimes this can be caused by removing the battery or the battery being drained of power. This could also be caused by the pass lock sensor being faulty and this will cause the anti-system to go off and this will keep the car from starting. There are many different issues that could cause the system to alert and will most likely require some troubleshooting or an OBD diagnostic tool to pinpoint the issue.

In the first answer, you said “go off”, the term has always confused me. When my Magnum is in alarm, I can start the car and drive it. I’ve tried the door lock, and hitting the dashboard. Neither of those will silence the alarm. Disconnecting the battery is all I’ve found that works; of course then the car won’t start 🤨😂. Can you help with my problem? Thank you
