In order to do a brake light reset for the 2006 BMW X5 You'll first need to put the key in to the ignition and give the vehicle power but do not turn on the engine. Next You'll want to hold down the BC button until it's showing Your time and mileage. Now press and hold the odometer reset button. You will see a yellow light and You need to keep holding it down until the next light shows up. Once that's done You'll need to press the check button until You can select the brakes. You will now want to press the bc button to confirm Your selection. The brake light should now reset and You should be able to drive as normal.
