If Your 2006 Dodge Charger has gone into limp mode it usually is caused by a problem that was detected by Your vehicle's ECU. There will often be a check engine light on at the dash as well. I would recommend pulling over as soon as possible and then connecting an OBD II scan tool to Your car. You will be able to read the code that was stored in the ECU. If it is a major problem then I recommend getting Your car towed to a shop to be repaired. If it is a simple thing, like a failed sensor, then You can clear the code and it will take the vehicle out of limp mode. The light will come back on though so You will need to repair any failures that caused it to turn on in the first place.

To reset the 2006 dodge charger limp mode, you're going to bring your car to a complete stop. Switch the automatic transmission to park. Shift the ignition key to off. Wait a minute for 10 seconds. Turn the engine back on. Choose the gear of your choice
