Now that You're the proud owner of a 2006 Mazda6, You may find Yourself inadvertently setting off the security system. Now You'll need to reset the system. First, obtain Your physical key. Insert it into the slot in the driver's side door. Next, You will need to lock and then unlock the door manually three times in succession. This should fully reset Your security system, and Your car is protected.

Didn’t work for me either I have a Mazda 6 06 the key used to disengage the alarm but now it just stays on all the time my key doesn’t work to shut it off it seema but it unlocks the door starts the car etc just won’t turn the alarm system off
