From time to time, You'll find Yourself in a sticky situation with the anti-theft system in the 2007 Mazda CX7. If You find that You're unable to start the vehicle, it's recommended that You first attempt to use a spare key (if You have one) -- the fault is usually caused by dirt or damage. However, if this doesn't work (or if You only have a single key), then You can try to perform a system reset. The process for doing so is simple, but it's not entirely effective; You may need to repeat it a few times. Disconnect the battery and hold Your foot on the brake pedal for a MINImum of one minute; if the light stops flashing quickly when You reconnect the battery, the reset was successful and You should be able to start the CX7.

To reset the security system i the 2007 mazda cx-7 turn the ignition to on and attempt to start the vehicle. It won't start, but leave the key in the run position for 10 minutes. At this point, a security light should blink on and off. As soon as it goes off, turn the ignition to off, wait five seconds, and start the vehicle.

I just replaced my driver side master window switch and had to disconnect the door locking device. The Anti-theft light is on and I can not turn on the car. When I insert the key I hear the doors locking and unlocking over and over. I have a Mazda cx 7 2011. Any help would be appreciated.
