To reset the security system or anti-theft system in Your 2008 Chevy Cobalt depress the key fob's panic button for five seconds before pressing the lock button twice standing 10 feet away from the vehicle. Follow that up by depressing the unlock button twice and Your immobilizer should be reset. But You may be wondering what are some of the benefits of having an anti theft system in the first place. Well simply put the system will know when someone has started the vehicle's engine without You in the car and provide an alert. The system can also provide alerts for unusual vibrations, such as when someone is trying to break into the vehicle as well.

How do you stand 10 feet away from the car and push the lock switch? Wouldn't it make more sense to leave the remote 10 feet away and press the lock button
