The anti-theft system in the Honda Accord is designed to disable the vehicle. There are times You may need to override it though. For example, if You forgot to disable it before changing the battery, the alarm will go off once the battery is connected and disable the vehicle. Resetting the system is simple and requires no tools aside from Your key. Turn the key in the driver's side door lock to the unlock position and then turn it back to locked. Turn it once more to the unlock position and the alarm should be disabled. Start the engine and allow it to run for a MINImum of 10 minutes. This gives the system time to fully reset. Turn the ignition to off and it should be done.
