The first thing You need to do in order to reset the anti-theft in a 2010 Dodge Nitro is open the drivers door and locate the fuse box on the sidekick panel. Remove the panel cover and right on the front edge is a yellow clip sticking out. Pinch the tabs on the clip and pull it out. It will not come out all the way just pulls out slightly. Now put Your key into the ignition and turn it to the on position without trying to start the engine. Leave it sit like this for about 10 seconds. Now turn the ignition off by turning the key counterclockwise, and then push the fuse back into the box. The security light should have gone out and You will now be able to start the vehicle.

To reset the 2010 dodge nitro anti theft system put the key in the driver's side door lock, unlock the door, lock the door, then unlock the door again.
