To reset the oil light on the 2012 Mazda5, You've come to the right place. Go ahead and turn that ignition OFF. Make sure that Your parking brake is activated. You will now step on both the gas and brake and hold those feet down. While Your feet are holding those pedals down, turn the ignition to ON but don't start the car. You will let go of the pedals as soon as You see the Service Reminder Light flashing. It should only take a few seconds so hang in there. Turn the ignition off as soon as the light flashes. You can double check if the light was reset by turning Your engine on.

To reset the oil level warning or maintenance light in your 2012 mazda 5 turn your ignition key to the "on" position and depress the gas pedal slowly three times. Release and start your vehicle and oil light should indicate a reset.
