In order to perform an oil light reset on a 2013 Subaru Outback, begin by starting the engine. Once the Idle has stabilized press down and hold the brake pedal. The neXTSteps need to be performed within 4 seconds of each other. Turn on the rear window defogger and then turn on the parking lights. Now turn off the rear window defogger and then turn off the parking lights, repeat that process once again and then let go of the brake pedal. The glow warning light will flash for five seconds when the oil reset is complete. Wait for 30 seconds and then turn the ignition off. You should only perform this action once You have actually completed an oil change and had the filter changed as well.
