The oil change light on Your 2014 Kia Rio needs to be reset after every oil change so that the system can determine when the next oil change is due. The procedure only takes a few moments. First, turn the ignition to the "On" position without starting the engine and then press and hold the "Trip" button until "User Settings" appears on Your display. Scroll to "Maintenance" using the "Trip" button and select it by pressing the "Reset" button and then select "Engine Oil." From here, You can change the time and distance for the next maintenance period and You can also reset the oil change light. You have completed the procedure and You can turn Your ignition off.

To reset the oil level warning or maintenance light in your 2014 kia rio vehicle, turn the ignition key to the "on" position and depress the gas pedal slowly three times. Release and start your vehicle and the oil light should indicate a reset.
