To reset the tire light on a 2014 Kia Sportage You will need to first go around the car and make sure that You have inflated all of the tires to match the specifications located in the driver's door. Once all of the tires are full You can go ahead and reset the system. First You will need to put the vehicle in the on position without the engine running. From there You can press and hold the TPMS reset button located on Your dash next to Your steering wheel. Keep holding that button until the TPMS light begins to flash and then release it. Now You can start Your car and drive off. Be sure to drive for at least ten minutes for the sensors to learn the new pressures.

Same thing here, Chris. My 2014 LX has no TPMS resets on either side of the column, or anywhere I've looked. Thing drives me nuts.. Super sensitive and if you want to drop pressure for slippery road conditions it lights up. At night it's a major annoyance. It's been a great ride for 8 yrs & change, 137k miles. I kept up all the maintenance, did my own mostly exc the factory recall dealer items. But I won't miss that orange friggin' light!! A sensor's gone bad & it won't shut off even with all 5 tires to spec pressure. GRRRRR

I have pressed the reset (trip button) for all three settings. Do I have to hold the button for 10 minutes on each trip setting? Do I have the engine running or just the ignition on?

To reset the tpms on the 2014 kia sportage make sure the tire pressure is correct, then turn on the vehicle. Now hit the reset button that is to the right of the steering wheel and wait ten minutes. In some cases you may need to hold the button down till the light flashes. If the sensor is not working correctly then you may have tires with incorrect pressure, and the car can get bad performance.

I have no reset button and like Dave and Chris have checked inflation is correct, fault finding indicated front left, I changed the tyre, light still flashes and then stays on. I have reset using diags tool, light comes back after 10miles. I understand each valve has a battery but damned if I am going to take each wheel off to check the valves. Am thinking of disconnecting it. Does anyone have an definitive answer...TIA
