Resetting the antitheft system in a 2015 Chevy Colorado is a fairly simple task. It takes about 30 minutes, so You need to make sure the battery is fully charged. Also, the PCM and BCM must be working properly. Turn the key in the ignition to ON. Try to start the engine, but then turn it back to ON when it fails to start. At this point, the security light will illuminate in the instrument cluster. Wait 10 minutes, and the light should go off. Turn off the key for 10 seconds, and then try to start the engine. If the engine starts, the process is done and the system is reset. Otherwise, start the process over again. It can take up to three times for it to reset. You should not open the doors to the vehicle during this time.

To reset the anti-theft system in your 2015 Chevy colorado vehicle, depress the key fob's panic button for five seconds before pressing the lock button twice standing 10 feet away from the vehicle. Follow by depressing the unlock button twice and your security should be reset.
