To reset the 2016 Cadillac SRX remaining oil life after an oil change, please follow these instructions. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting the engine). Use the DIC controls on the right side of the steering wheel to display the REMAINING OIL LIFE. Press SEL on the DIC controls. Hold SEL down for a few seconds to reset the oil life to 100%. Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset. Remaining oil life can also be reset by depressing the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds instead of using the DIC. The Cadillac Oil Life Monitor (OLM) system is not a simple oil quality sensor, but a software-based, algorithm-driven device that takes into account various operating conditions of the engine to determine when the oil needs changing.

To reset the oil life on the 2016 cadillac srx you will need to press the display button till it shifts to the odometer. Once you do that turn the power off. Now turn the power back on while you are holding down the trip meter reset button. This will cause the oil life to reset.
With the car running, I selected the oil life by arriving over to the right and then arriving up until it came up. I held the select button down for 10 seconds and it reset. I hope this helps!
I had to start mine, only have the start/stop button. I select over to the right and arrowed up to the oil life. I had tohold the select down for 10 seconds for it to change to 100%. I hope this helps!
