The oil change light on Your 2016 Nissan Frontier needs to be reset after every oil change so that the system can determine when the next oil change is due. If You don't reset the light, You will find that Your vehicle will indicate that You need another oil change sooner than would be necessary. The procedure only takes a few moments. First, turn the ignition on but don't start the engine. Now, slowly press the accelerator to the floor for 3 times within 5 seconds. I don't know; I don't believe my Frontier has an oil reset function. I've put 100,000 miles on truck and have never reset an oil reset function.
