To perform the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek oil light reset, watch: https://www.Youtube.com/watch?v=mCT-tZ6GVAA Your oil needs to be changed out someday. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles or so is a good rule of thumb. If You don't replace it, there will be problems with the engine. Having high quality oil is essential for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into problems with the oil at some point. A common problem is an awful burning odor. This needs to be viewed closely as soon as possible or the car might explode. Old or bad oil can cause the engine to stop working. Knocking noise may arise from the engine. You could experience poor gas mileage.

To reset the oil level warning or maintenance light in your 2019 subaru crosstrek vehicle, turn the ignition key to the "on" position and depress the gas pedal slowly three times. Release and start your vehicle and the oil light should indicate a reset.

Just share some of my recent experience with the oil change issues with my 2019 Crosstrek Premium model. 1. Reset the Oil Change warning: I did the first Oil change myself last weekend. The Odometer is at 5886 miles. After all is done I did not find any info to reset the oil change interval. My car comes with a black and white LCD multi-info top screen. There is no I/Set button on the steering wheel. Since the oil change I put in 300 miles more into this car surpassing the 6000 mile interval. So far no warning message yet. Some other forum suggested my car may not be equipped with the warning system. I was so disappointed that why Subaru did not put this information in the Manual. 2. Oil plug crush washer: Carefully examined the old/original oil plug crush washer. I found that the flat side of the washer goes to face the oil pan, not facing the oil plug as suggested by posts from other users in Subaru forum. But I guess this may no be important. 3. Oil filter: The factory installed one was extremely tight. I used a ring shape oil filter clamp removal tool and almost destroyed it before I got it lose. Hope this info help. Good luck to your oil change DIY!
