If You need to progRam a new key for Your Chevy Malibu fortunately it is a pretty easy thing to do. You will need to make sure that You have Your key and the fob that goes with it. First You will need to get in Your Malibu and close the doors. Next put Your key in the ignition and turn it from on to off without starting the engine then take it out of the ignition. Now press and hold the unlock button on the driver's side door while You insert and remove the key from the ignition cylinder three times. After that release the unlock button and then press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on Your key fob until the car beeps twice.

Insert the key into the ignition and press and hold the unlock tab on your 2012 malibu's driver's side door. Than turn the key in the ignition to on and then back to off two times in quick succession.
Yea there's more to it then that, actually it's 4 times total from off to on, then release unlock button on driver door,then hack into space station and make it go ludicrous speed untilyourMalibu begins to float to space,,step 2..then to change a headlight bulb will requireliterally an act of god himself to help you,so yea it's pretty easy.
