To add transmission fluid to the 2010 Chevy Malibu You'll want to make sure You're using ATF Dexron VI. The capacity iS7.0 quarts for the 4-speed transmission and 5.3 quarts for the 6-speed. You will need to open the hood using the lever located just under the dash on the driver side. Given some models do not have a dipstick You may need to get Your fluid level checked by an auto mechanic. Prior to adding the fluid the car should typically be a the same temperature at which You'd operate it. Remove the dipstick and add the fluid to the max line. Reinsert the dipstick and recheck the level by shifting through Your gears.

Remove the side plug from the transmission on 2010, malibu. It resembles a mini oil plug. Now locate and delete the transmission tranny fill cap below the hood. Slowly add tranny fluid to the side of the tranny until it begins leaking out the overfill opening.
