To remote start the 2013 Chevy Silverado push the lock button on the key fob to lock all the doors, and then press and hold the start button at the top. The trucks lights will flash and the engine will start. You can go into the Driver Information Center, or DIC, to verify if the remote start function is on. When sitting in the driver seat put the key in the ignition and turn it to the On position. Look to the left of the steering wheel on the instrument panel You will see the four DIC buttons. Press the third bouton from the top, it looks like two checkboxes with the top one checked. Keep pushing it until the display reads REMOTE START: PRESS “ TO CHANGE When You press the bottom checkmark button the display will change to let You know if it is on or off.

If you have a key fob for the car then you can just hit the button and start the car.
