To remove the air filter box from the Chevrolet Silverado, You'll first need to disconnect the wiring harness that runs into the air pipe. You'll then need to use a small socket or flathead screwdriver to undo the clamp that holds the tube together, and then separate it. Remove the four screws from the air box, located near the four corners. This will allow You to remove the top half. Then, remove the air filter from the assembly. This gives You access to the bottom half, where You'll need to pull up with a bit of force to dislodge it from its clips. Now, if You're replacing, You'll drop in the new parts in reverse order, and the component should be as good as new -- because hopefully it IS new.

To remove your air box on your chevy silverado there are 2 screws beside the air box, remove them. The bottom part of the air box is secured in with rubber style grommets. Just gotta tug and it will come up.
