It's actually relatively simple to remove the steering wheel on a 2010 Ford Focus, so whether You want to repair, replace, paint, or just keep a souvenir from Your broken down Ford (I joke), the process shouldn't take You much time at all. Disconnect the battery, first and foremost; the airbag runs the risk of deploying and causing serious injury. Wait at least five to ten minutes after disconnecting the battery to ensure that it is completely discharged. Turn the steering wheel so You can reach the airbag bolts, which are located at the rear. Remove them (5.5mm socket), gently remove the airbag, and disconnect the single wire. At this point, the steering wheel bolt will be exposed; it's 24mm, and so long as the steering wheel is locked in place, it should be simple to remove. Once it's out, You're pretty much where You need to be!
