Believe it or not, all You need to remove the liftgate panel on the 2015 Ford Explorer is a Phillips Head screwdriver. First, open the liftgate and keep it open. Facing You, at the bottom of the panel, Youll see four different screws. Unscrew them, then pull the panel down on each side to pop the bottom out. At this point, it wont come out all the way, so You need to open the back glass window, and snap off the panel from the top by pushing it on it. Its as simple as that, and should pop off entirely. If Youre putting in a new panel, pop it on starting at the top of the panel with the window open, pushing to lock it into place. Do the same at the bottom, insert and tighten the screws, and Youre set.

WRONG !! Ther are two panesl; an upper ond lower held by retaining clips, plus the liftgate handle on the lower right of the lower panael is held by two 5/12 bolts. The handle has a thin plastic cover over the bolt access.
