In order to remove the center console lid cover on the 2016 Ford Explorer, You'll need a flathead screwdriver or other small pry tool, and just a bit of patience. Alternatively, if You want to remove the ENTIRE lifting lid, You'll also need a Philips screwdriver; the processes vary slightly, but are generally similar. To remove the entire lid, You'll need to remove the three screws that hold the lid in place from the hinge. Once You coax this out, it should lift right off. If You just want to remove the cover, You can do so by just doing a bit of prying. It's very likely You'll damage the upholstered cover though, so this isn't recommended unless You're doing so in order to replace it.
