If You notice that Your blend door actuator is not functioning properly on a 2013 Ford Explorer then it may need to be replaced. The actuator can be found behind the dash on the passenger's side. To access it You will need to first remove the glove compartment from the vehicle completely. Next You will need to remove the plastic trim that is behind the glove box. This will allow You to access the filter. Remove the filter and then You can get to the blend door from the bottom of it. After that You will be able to find the actuator on the left side of it. You can remove the wires, unscrew the two bolts, and then remove it from the vehicle.
