You will need a flathead screw driver, deep well 13 mm socket and socket wrench, 8 mm socket, 5/8" spark plug socket, and a pair of needle nose pliers to replace the 2013 Ford Explorer spark plugs. The first thing You're going to do is cut the plastic engine cover to locate the spark plugs. To make more room, use the screwdriver to release the metal hose clamp on the air intake. You can now cut the bolt on the air intake and remove the ignition coil bolt. Raise the ignition coil out and You'll see the spark plugs in the wells that You can remove with the 5/8' spark plug socket. Always clean the spark plug wells and inspect the spark plugs before inserting new spark plugs.
