To reset the anti-theft system on the Chevy Silverado You will need to get into the car and lock the doors. Now with the doors locked put the key into the ignition and turn it to the on position. Let it sit there for 5 minutes until the anti-theft light blinks. Once it blinks You will need to turn it to the off position, then turn it back to the on position. Now wait for a min and it will blink again. Turn it off then on one more time. When it blinks for the third time go ahead and start the engine. The anti-theft is now reset.

I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado LT.just put new battery and already having to jump it but see new light that indicates a security problem.It also seems to have a short in the light switches I feel like its also affecting my gauges.Been a super truck 200,000 miles with only batteries, brake pads, one full brake job, window switches and a.c. Blower won't stop until you pull the relay.Any advice.I credit the good stuff to purchasing the lifetime oil change option.Thanks, MT

In a chevy silverado, you will try to reset the anti-theft system by turning the key on until the yellow lock goes out on the instrument panel for about 10 minutes. Turn the key off and do it 2 more times after 3 cycles, pull the key and put it back in.
I got a 2011 chevy silverado w/t ,,I had aaftermarket stereo put in a pioneer double din it works fine but when you power the the stereo on all my gauges,and ac quite working anyone have any ideal whats goimg on thanks

I have a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado my door locks are not working now and anti-theft lights not coming on no more like it then we have one cuz it won't even show up won't blink won't do nothing truck I go to crank my truck it cranks up and runs and dies cranks up and runs and dies now when you literally put the key and you hear the door lock go click click but they're not clicking and the last not working so so how do I reset it if I can get the def light to come on
