Resetting the engine light on a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado is easy to do. It will only take between 3 and 7 minutes of Your time. The first thing You will need to do is open the driver's side door of Your vehicle, and get inside. Next, turn the key in the ignition to the on position. Be careful that You don't accidentally start the engine. Now, from the point of turning the ignition on, You have five seconds to quickly pump the gas pedal. Do this three times in succession. The oil light will begin to flash on the dash, then it will shut off. If for any reason this doesn't reset the light, repeat all of the steps mentioned here.

To reset the life of the engine oil on a 2003 chevy silverado insert the key into the ignition and turn the key towards the direction of the accessory control. It will display all the lights on your instrument panel. 2. Within five seconds of turning the key, the accelerator is depressed three times to the floor absolutely.
