There are three ways to reset the check engine light on the 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. Perhaps the simplest of which is to get access to an OBD-2 scan tool, find Your trouble codes, and clear them. This should make the ever-present reminder light go out, at least for the time being. Alternatively, if You don't have access to a scan tool, You can disconnect the negative terminal to Your battery. After about thirty minutes, You should be able to reconnect it, and it should internally clear the trouble codes, which will also make the light go out. The last way is to remove the PCM IGN and PCM BAT fuses for about five minutes. When replaced, the codes should be cleared and You'll be lightless once more.

To reset the check engine light in a 2005 chevy trailblazer locate the fuse panel in the engine bay under the hood. Remove the pcm ign and pcm bat fuses and wait for 5 minutes. Turn off the ignition, replace the fuses, and it should be reset.
