If Your Chevy Malibu alarm is having problems and preventing You from driving then You will need to reset it in order to get it working again. Fortunately the reset procedure is fairly simple and straightforward and there are a few different ways to do it. The first thing to try is placing Your key into the door and rotating it counter clockwise and hold it there until You hear the horn honk. The second way to do it is to press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on Your key fob at the same time until the horn honks. The third way to do it is to simply disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and allow the body control module to reset.

If you need to reset the alarm on your 2009 chevy malibu, tuen your key counter clockwise and then turn it clockwise to lock your vehicle's doors. Repeat this process and the anti-theft system should be reset.
