Resetting the security system on Your 2010 Ford Focus should be as easy as using the key fob to unlock the vehicle and then putting the key in the ignition and turning it to the on position. You will now need to leave the key in there for between 5 to 10 minutes and then turn it off. You should now be able to start the vehicle up again and use it as normal. If this doesn't work You should go ahead and disconnect the battery from the vehicle for 20 minutes and that will give it a hard reset.

The first thing is to click the unlock key on the remote. Use key to unlock the door and then turn ignition to on. This should cause a reset.

Unlock your vehicle with your key. Turn key to on position. Do not start vehicle. Leave key on for about 5 to 10mins. Turn off. Wait 2min. Car should start and anti theft resetted. If that doesn't work, disconnect battery for 20min and reconnect to do a full complete reset on vehicle.
