To reset the 2012 Ford Focus radio, watch: https://www.Youtube.com/watch?v=v7lWhT_RrNQ You will come into issues with the sound. The source could be from the stereo's speakers or a phone that is connected to the vehicle. Whatever the source, You will have to have these issues solved quickly. If the problems are from the stereo's speakers, it could be static sounds, randomly turns off, a loose wire, or a blown fuse. If the issues are coming from the phone, it could mean that the software won't update, the device won't sync with the vehicle, the phone's battery is too low, or something is blocking the signal.

Problems with the radio could be a power supply problem, there is a connector in the steering column that links the ignition switch to the radio connector. That connector can become loose eventually, opening the start connection to the ignition relay. Reconnect that connector, and it should be fine.
