You will come into issues with this part at some time or another. Premature tire wear is something you could face. You could run into feathering issues. You could face cupping problems. Make sure to check the tire pressure once a month. Check for holes, in case you run over a nail. The part may become loose at some point. This part will need to be replaced eventually. You should change your tires every 30,000 to 50,000 miles or so. You don't want to get into any wrecks on the road.
2017 has push button start. This method does not work.

Without starting the vehicle turn the key to the on position. Press on the tpms reset button and hold it until the light blinks 3 times. Then let it go. Start the car and allow it to run for 20 minutes to reset the sensor.

First off the 2017 Escape requires a TPMS Relearn Tool. 1- Inflate all tires to pressure listed on vehicleplacard. 2- Turn ignition to OFF position and press and release brake pedal. 3- Cycle ignition from the OFF to RUN position 3 times, ending in the RUN position. 4- Press and release brake pedal. 5- Turn ignition to OFF position. 6- Cycle ignition from the OFF to RUN position 3 times, ending in the RUN position. 7- Horn will sound once, and the tale lights will blink once, indicating train mode is initiated. If equipped with a message center, it will display TRAIN LF TIRE. 8- Starting with the LF tire, use your TPMS scan tool to scan each sensor in the following order: LF, RF, RR, LR (and full size spare if equipped). The horn will sound once each sensor has been recognized. 9- After training LR tire, the message center will display TRAINING MODE COMPLETE. If the vehicle is not equipped with the message center display, successful completion can be verified by turning the ignition to the OFF position and not hearing the horn sound. If the horn sounds, then the training procedure must be repeated. 10- Turn ignition to the OFF position. E Z P Z. LOL
