The anti-theft system on the Dodge Stratus was not designed to be reset by the owner and requires software for a hard reboot that can only be acquired through a visit to the dealership. The cost of having the Anti-Theft Module reset averages under $100. To disable the alarm if set off in error, press the "unlock" button on the Stratus' RKE transmitter or insert the key manually into the lock cylinder of the driver's door and unlock it. Either approach will successfully reset the anti-theft's alarm. However, to disable an interior anti-theft warning light You will need to reprogRam the module and this can only be accomplished by a certified dealer or Dodge specialist.

To reset the anti theft system on a Dodge Stratus you will want to lock and unlock the vehicle using the key slot on the door and then place the key in the ignition and leave it in the on position for at least 10 minutes.
