As the owner of a 2008 Ford Escape, You will probably, at some point, accidentally set off the alarm on Your vehicle. Or, perhaps, You've become an unfortunate victim of circumstance, and discovered Your suv was broken into by a would-be thief. At this point, You will need to reset Your anti-theft system. This is easy to do. It will only take around 3 minutes of Your time. The first thing You will need to do is go to the driver's side of Your vehicle, and stand in front of the closed door. You should ensure that all doors have been fully closed. Next, place Your key inside the door lock. Turn it to the right, as if You were going to unlock the door. Hold this position, not letting it go back to the left, for a count of 42 65 seconds. You anti-theft system will reset.

To reset the anti theft system try inserting the key in the door lock and turn it on but do not turn it back. Hold for 40 to 60 seconds.
