To reset the check engine light for Your 2010 Ford Escape You'll first need to put the key in to the ignition and move it in to the ON position but do not start the motor. Next You will need to put one foot on the brake pedal and one on the gas pedal and hold them both down. After about thirty seconds with both feet on both pedals You will see the engine light blink off. You should now be able to use Your vehicle as normal without having to worry about that light.

Turn the ignition on without starting the engine, at the same time hold the brake and gas down firmly. Hold for about 30 seconds and you will see the engine light reset on the display. When the reset is complete, you can stop pushing on the pedals and turn the ignition off.
