When the anti theft system is not working properly in Your Dodge Journey the first thing that You should do is try to reset it. To reset the system You will need to put the key in the on position without the engine running. You will want to wait until the security light turns off on the dash and then You can turn it over. This can take up to ten minutes. If this does not solve the security system problems then You should take it to a Dodge dealership. Omg wtf Well my dodge journeyhas push button. For start. But to reset anti theftin mine. Push the start button until you have it over on the run position. Do not have your feet on any pedals when you are pushing the start button . Then you push your foot on the break and hold it. To reset the Dodge Journey anti-theft system you will Open the hood. Use your pliers or wrench to separate the positive end cable from the plug. Go into your car's fuse box, and see the diagram. Pick the "ECM" fuse, and disable this fuse. ... Keep the car truncated like this for two or three minutes to clear the memory of the machine.

This just happened to my wife’s vehicle I used the push button start to try to start it three times and thenthis just happened to my wife’s vehicle I used the push button start to try to start it three times and then I unlocked it and locked it four times got in the vehicle got in the vehicleturn the ignition on and it started end of story.
Had two mechanics looked at my Dodge journey, can't reset the immobilizer but why can't they fix it anyway their advice is get rid of it
