To reset the oil change reminder on Your Ford Edge first turn the ignition to ON. Use the directional pad on the steering wheel and scroll through the settings area under the heading menu. Go to Settings > Vehicle > Oil Life Reset.Push and hold OK until it resets to 100%. Turn off the ignition and then restart the engine to verify the reset has been completed. Your car is equipped with an Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor system that analyzes Your vehicles data to determine the recommended time to change Your oil. Ford's IOLM meter is located on the information display on the dashboard. It will count down from 100% oil life to 0% oil life as You continue to drive the vehicle.

On the ford edge turn the ignition to the "on" position, use the direction pad on the steering wheel and go to settings > vehicle > oil life reset. Push and hold down "ok" until it resets to 100%.

After this is completed why doesn't the 100% go away next time suv is started?
