There are a couple ways to reset the radio in a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The first is what is called a soft reset. Push and hold the volume and two knobs at the same time for about 10 to 20 seconds until the radio power is off. Once the system shut off it will quickly turn back on and take about a minute or so to fully come back online. The second method is a factory reset, which will delete all of Your saved settings such as favorite stations and other presets. In order to do this You will need to press and hold both the temperature up and temperature down buttons on the driver side of the controls. Do not let go until the display changes to the engineering menu. Scroll down in the menu until You see Reset to factory default and press it. The screen will ask You to confirm Your choice, select yes to proceed. After pressing yes You will have to wait 30 seconds and then there's some will begin to reset.

What two 'knobs" are you referring to that you hold down with the volume button?

To reset the radio on a Jeep Grand Cherokee you will want to hold down the volume button for 10 seconds.
I put a new battery in my 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Plus and the radio/uconnect screen will not turn on. I tried the above mentioned fixes several times on different days and it has not worked. Is there a fuse or something that goes to it that may need to be replaced?
Ya'll know the volume button is the power button also.

JL- The 2 knobs are the volume and tuner knobs under the touchscreen. Press and hold both of the buttons in the centers of the knobs until the screen turns off and then release. It will automatically reset and turn back on a minute later.
None of the two top solutions work. Engineering menu has only one option and it's radio part info.volume and tune does nothing. This car's a joke.

I have a 2015 Jeep Compass, i get some radio until it warms up, usually about 2-3 mins after I turn the radio on, then all i get is a popping sound. Any suggestions ?
I have a similar question. My 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee randomly changes the station, hangs up on people I’m talking to then randomly calls another person in my phone book. This is constant I’ve have to put all my stations to the same station and delete my contacts so this doesn’t happen. Will re-setting my radio help?

I just held the volume knob down for 10 seconds until screen went blank, let go, it re-booted and is working fine now. Thanks for everyone's help.

Volume is power button on radio so it just radio off ??
The correct answer, that worked for me getting my in car WIFI working again was, with the radio on, press and hold the power button for a slow 10 count then release. The radio will turn off and come back on as if you just got in the car. Several months ago, Uconnect changed hands or changed their program and that broke the WIFI application in the CDJR autos. My Ram 1500 and Jeep Grand Cherokee were both affected.

This did not work on my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Neither did "turning the vehicle ignition to the ON position, and then turning on the radio. Wait ten seconds and then turn off the radio. Once the radio is powered off You will then press and hold the power button until the radio resets. This is the preferred method since it doesn't lock the radio." I guess I need to try the factory reset option.
