If You want to reset the alarm on the Jeep Liberty then You will need to follow these steps. To begin You will want to get into the Jeep and close the doors. Now hold down the control door lock button for 30 seconds. Once You have done this insert the key into the ignition and turn it on. Once it has been turned on You will want to turn it back off, and then back to one again. This will cause the security light to start blinking. While it is doing that turn the Jeep on and the system will be reset. If You wait too long the light will stop and it will not work.

To reset the Jeep Liberty alarm, press the control door-lock button on the keyless entry fob. Open the side door of the cab. Leave all doors closed for around 16 seconds before the Vehicle Security Light on the instrument cluster starts blinking quickly. As the light pulses at a slower rate, this means that the device has been disabled and updated.

Mike E: you quote: "If You want to reset the alarm on the Jeep Liberty then You will need to follow these steps. To begin You will want to get into the Jeep and close the doors. While it is doing that turn the Jeep "ON" and the system will be reset. If You wait too long the light will stop and it will not work" is this a typing error? Perhaps "off" instead of "ON"?
