The Nissan TCM reset procedure varies by model and model year; however, here's the most common process. Ensure that the shifter is in park. Start the engine, allowing it to warm to normal operating temperature (five or so minutes). Turn the key off and wait precisely five seconds. Turn the key to the IGNITION position, but do not start the engine. At this point, You should see the A/T CHECK light illuminate. From here, You'll need to turn the key back to the OFF position. Then, turn it to the ACC position. Press and hold the acceleration pedal all the way to the floor, then press the brake pedal and move the shifter into DRIVE. Turn the key to the IGNITION position for three seconds, then move the shifter to second gear. Release the gas and brake pedals, and move the shifter to first gear. Press and hold the brake pedal, then press and release the gas pedal. The A/T CHECK light should flash on and off in a pattern. Put the shifter in park, and turn off the car. When You restart the car, the TCM will be reset.

Nick B. How do you move the shifter into drive in acc? I've never had a modern vehicle that can do that. I just tried your method in my maxima guessing that it wouldn't work, lol and behold, it didnt.

To reset the Dodge Charger TCM, you open the hood and find the battery and disconnect the black-wired negative terminal from the unit. Switch the ignition key to the "on / crank" mode for 30 seconds, then adjust the ignition key to the "off" mode. Reconnect the negative terminal to the battery and close the hood.

The button you push is left to the shifter in park. You might have to use a small allen wrench or a key worked on mine. But reset will work if you do it exactly like the the guy explains.i taken it to a transmission shop they was trying to sell a whole new transmission but it works fine now. They wanted 5000.00 bucks....lmfao. Thanks dude!

You can't move the shifter to DRIVE position while the key is on ACC. The key has to be in IGN position.
