To reset the Maintenance Required light in the 2012 Toyota Tacoma first turn the ignition to ON. Set the trip meter to the mileage setting. Next, press and hold the trip button and turn the ignition to the OFF position. Continuing to hold the button, turn the ignition back on. The light will flash as it resets. Let go of the button and the light should now go off. You may need to repeat this process after every oil change. The service interval for this particular vehicle is every 7,500 to 10,000 miles for synthetic oil and every 3,000 to 5,000 miles for conventional oil.
