To reset the TPMS system in a 2008 Toyota Highlander, first make sure the tire pressures are correct. Turn the engine on, then press and hold the reset button. You'll find it low and to the right of the steering wheel on the instrument panel. Hold the button down until the TPMS indicator light in the instrument panel blinks slowly 3 three times.Your tire air pressure should be checked once a month using the same tire gauge. Low tire pressure can be dangerous and could cause a blowout. Low pressure could result from a leak or simply from the tendency of a tire to lose pressure over time. When air pressure gets too low, the tire's sidewalls flex more, and heat builds up within the tire.

I also have a 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid and the TPMS button is not low and right of steering wheel (there is a blank insert in a position where there could be a button, but no button). It is not in the glove box either. I have had my head on the floor as well under the steering column, and nothing. Any ideas?

To reset the tire pressure sensor on a 2008 toyota highlander, open the glove compartment and locate the reset button. Press it down for about 3 seconds, until the tmps light blinks 3 times. Start the car and leave it running until the light goes out

It is there. Go to where the jnterior plastic ends - the switch is past that on the dash structure facing downward.

It’s there under the VCS button but really small and hard to find. Keep slowly moving your fingers across the panel below the main plastic plate

I have a 2008 Highlander Limited. The button in the glovebox appears to be related to the back hatch (that's what the graphic looks like). Also do not see the TPMS icon below the steering column (the icon has to do with the snow tires - or something like that - definitely not TPMS icon). The manual indicates you need to contact the dealer (which is really lame).

2008 Highlander Limited.. I located the TPM button. Drivers seat, just above the right knee. Get small mirror and look under the console. That is where mine is.

You likely don't have TMPS then. On Limiteds, its in the glove box left side. The vsc switch in low right side of steering col.
