To turn off auto stop on the Chevy Malibu 2016 You will need to find the button. Look for the shifter in between the two front seats. On the base of the shift console, You will see a couple of buttons. One of them will be labeled auto/off. Hit this button and the light will come on, indicating that the stop-start is turned off. Hit it again and it will come back on. Auto stop saves on gas and wears on the engine, so if You decide to drive with it turned off then You will find that You burn more gas than You would otherwise. It is also worse for the environment so You really should leave it turned on.
