It is pretty easy to update the navigation system in a 2016 Toyota Highlander. You will need to download the update file from Toyota directly and put it on an SD card. Once the SD card has the files on it You can place it into the SD card slot in Your SUV and then go to the settings menu in the infotainment screen. From there You should scroll down to map update in the applications folder. NeXTSelect download the latest content and it will pull the update from the SD card and install it in the vehicle. Updating the software in Your SUV is a good idea because it allows You to have the most up to date maps and may also fix some software bugs.
