In general, its expected that Chevrolet Equinoxes will last at least 10 years with good care and maintenance. Some of them though, especially the newer models, will probably last into their 20s with good care. They tend to only have minor issues, and major repairs are few and far between. J.D. Power ranks the 2019 Equinox with 86 out of 100 for reliability, and they named it the top SUV of that year. The biggest consumer complaints reported, according to US News are oil leaks, gasoline issues and sometimes fuel pump failure. The good news is that none of these will have a negative impact on the overall life of the vehicle.

My 2015 Chevy Equinox LTZ is currently at 239,000. I bought it brand new on Feb 11, 2015 and have all maintenance done on schedule and at the dealership. My only 4 repairs have been the fuel relief valve (three times at 65,000, 165,000 and 233,00 miles) and the windshield wiper transmission (which has a recall but I was past 150,000 miles when it happened so not covered.) The only other non-maintenance item was the A/C condensation pan was leaking in the passenger floor and that turned out to be a cricket that had crawled up the drain line and died. (d**n $150 cricket!) This is hands-down the best car I have ever had!

180,000 miles on 2012 equinox awd, Just broke exaust manifold, had fixed for 1,200 dollars..Slight leak in tranny but better with trans X additive. I drain and fill the tranny yearly with dexron 6. Oil consumption is down to a quart every 4000 miles, Valvoline 5/30 dexos, I change sparkplugs every 90,000. Last plugs that I just changed had a bit of grey buildup but hope to get this rig to 200,000..Been a great car

Oil changes at every 3,500-4,000 miles with *NOTE* Walmart Supertech Synthetic Oil and Supertech filter every other change. 20$ with filter 17$ without. Has my Equinox at 220,000 miles and many great moments experienced

2012 at 16000 nothing replaced and no issues till 136000 needed a New alternator; and now a water pump Lucky to have the 3.0 engine, cuz that could have been a nightmare 😬 regular oil changes at 5000 and kept up with all maintenance. I’d buy it again. And hope to upgrade to a newer one eventually!

I have a 2013 LT with the 2.4L engine. It has 125,000 miles and runs great. The only issue I've had was with the variable camshaft timing solenoids, which I replaced myself for $125 (parts). It only takes about 30 minutes and some basic tools to change them. The check engine light comes on about every 6 months, but it's always the "CATALYTIC EFFICIENCY LOW", and I just put a $20 bottle of catalytic cleaner in the fuel tank and the light goes off within a week or two. I add a quart of oil about every 3500 miles, which is more often than I expected, but not bad. I really like the car: very comfortable, quiet, pretty smooth on the highway.

I can answer this very easily. 71,356 miles. The Main Bearing failed, all oil leaked while at highway speeds. Engine is trash. 8k repair to repair. I changed the oil religiously. This should not happen at such a low mileage.

I have a 2005 and with proper maintenance, I think it would last forever. I got it with 111k miles 2 years ago on it and I recently have been putting at least 100 miles on it a day. Gas is my biggest issue with the small tank, unfortunately, this is the reason I am parting with it for a newer version. Very reliable and fantastic little car.
