The Chevy Traverse should be able to last over 200,000 miles as long as You take care of the vehicle. The most important thing to do when You own a car is make sure to get the recommended services done. This is the best way to make sure to keep Your engine running well. When Your SUV is in for services it is also a chance for the mechanics to take a look at all the key components in the vehicle and make sure they are in good condition. It is simpler to repair a small problem before it turns into a big problem. I recommend getting Your car serviced and inspected at least twice a year.

I bought my 2013 Chevy traverse with 96,000 mi on it 2 years ago and it currently has 242,852 mi on it. My last car was a Chevy Equinox when I sold it it had 530,000 mi on it. If you take care of your vehicle and do the maintenance and tire rotation every time you do an oil change it will last a long time . But you have to be prepared to do the maintenance on it whenever it's needed. PS I typically drive 70000 to 80,000 mi a year

I had two Chevy traveses,09, and a 16, they never made it to100,000 miles without major money repairs. Bad engines. Enter do your home work before you buy.

I had a 2010 Traverse that had no major issues up 175,000 miles when I sold it. I now have a 2012 Traverse I bought used with 45,000 miles, I'm up to 140,000 and have had to replace two headlight bulbs, and get rid of the Michelin's for a good set of Goodyears. Aside from that and the standard P.M. I've had zero problems. I drive very aggressively and as such I'm hard on the brakes, transmissions and engines. This is a very solid SUV. It performs better than many standard cars I've driven. The engine and transmission are both strong and when pushed they perform excellently. There is a bit of body sway, but it is an SUV afterall. The ride is smooth and once I got rid of the stock Michellins and replaced them with the Goodyears the truck is able to corner much more aggressively and is so much better in the rain. For a front-wheel-drive vehicle, it is well balanced, and I don't "plow" when entering into a sharp turn at high speed as much as I'd expect to, once again I attribute that to replacing the stock tires with the Goodyears. Overall a great mid-range SUV. It's not Tahoe of course, but it blows away the Lexus and the Hyundai I have (which are both 2017 models)

We have 2011 traverse LT for past 8 years . 205 000 km , we replace phew light bulp , rear tailgate shock to hold the trunk , all 4 shocks . 2 bearing , sway bar link . Overall we are very happy . We always change oil before it hits 0 % .that was the cause of timing belt/chain issue .

2010 Traverse is a money pit. Avoids at all costs. After God knows how many thousands of dollars in repairs engine failure at 160 k. Wasn’t going to put another money in that lemon. Will never buy a GM product again.

Bought brand new 09 Traverse. Transmission rebuilt at 110k, then engine rebuilt at 130k, figured I’m good for a good long while, nope transmission just went out again at 167k. And a bunch of electronic issues.

I have a FWD 2011 Traverse, third owner, regular maintenance and repair, at 225,000 miles, and still going strong. I think the issues people have, are with an AWD.
