The Ford Escape is a good reliable small SUV that has a good four cylinder motor in it. As long as You keep up with regular maintenance on the engine I see no problem with an Escape going over 150,000 miles before any serious damage happens. The most important thing You can do to extend the life of a car is always do all the maintenance when it needs it. Deferring maintenance to do it later just leads to more things getting damaged. When maintenance is done regularly it also gives the mechanic a good chance to inspect the car and make sure that there are not any other signs of small damage that could lead to bigger failures.

I had to let my 2014 escape go and it ran perfect with120,000 miles. I loved it so much but need a car without payments and just bought my 2003 Ford Escape yesterday. Its got 171,000 miles on it but i hope to have it running another 20 years. They are good cars. I use the term bullet proof when it came to my first one. I drive deliveries as a living and I am hard on cars. The Escape can take alot of miles and handles well even at 171,000 miles.

I have a 2005 escape that I bought with 190000 miles and have had it for a year and it now has 230000 and it is still running strong haven t done anything to it other then maintain the fluids.
I have a 2009 Ford escape XLT. It has 198,832 miles on it as of September 24th, 2020. I've had no problems with the engine or the transmission since I've had it. The only thing I've replaced are brakes and a tensioner. Right now it needs new struts but nothing major. I love this vehicle and hope I'll be able to drive it for another 50-60,000 mi.
