A Ford Escape hybrid should last around 130,000 miles. Ford Escape hybrids have one of the lowest issue rates. There have been 5 recorded battery issues out of everyone every produced. You should follow all of the manufacturer's suggested maintenance while also making sure You keep up with major services and regular oil changes. These cars are designed to last a long time. There are some things You can do while You own to car to make it last longer. Don't ignore gauges, Lights, or Alerts. Ignoring these warning lights could leave You stranded on the side of the road or cause extensive and expensive damage to Your vehicle if You continue to drive. Keep an eye on Your fluids and check them regularly. Change Your air filters. Inspect and Rotate Tires.

Ford Escape Hybrids have one of the lowest issue rates. There have been 5 recorded battery issues out of EVERY ONE EVERY PRODUCED. They are used as taxis and easily rack up 300K+ miles with no major issues. Its one of the best buys for used vehicles for the money in the SUV and Hybrid segment.

I have a 2007 Ford escape hybrid with 280,476 miles. This car has been a gem. I just drove from Philadelphia to upstate New York a 300 mile drive through mountainous terrain and averaged 34.6 miles per gallon. I was averaging 63 mph. I have taken a trip many times. If I increaseI have taken a trip many times. If I increase my speed to 75 mph the mpg decreases to 26.4. I’ve never had an issue with the hybrid battery. The only thing that stopped working was the lighting of the radio and the rear windshield wiper motor. Four wheel disc brakes makes for easy brake jobs. Besides that and oil changes I just replaced a few front end parts due to wear and tear. I’ve had to change the drive axles once at 180,000.

My 2010 Escape Hybrid has over 150,000 miles. Had some ignition problems but fixed easily and no other problems at all. I feel safe as a driver or passenger. Big enough for comfort and not too big for fuel economy. I had an explorer model prior to this. Traded for the Hybrid and so happy with the change. I hope to drive it for 500,00 k or 600,000 k miles as others say they have. Ford needs to produce this model again!

Original owner, my 2008 FEH has about 112,000 miles on it and is going great - has required only minimal repairs over its' life. I'm in SoCal in flat/non-hilly area, not too hot or cold, urban environment, which is the ideal conditions for owning a hybrid. I've read many stories on the 'escape city' blog board of people getting 200, 300, 400 thousand miles.

My 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid has treated me well so far, except for it being so rusty on the bottom that I was unable to change a tire except by using a hydraulic jack. I bought it used, with 120,000 K miles, and dropped 300 dollars in new tires, but so far it is doing well!
