The 2007 GMC Yukon can hold 6 quarts of oil in all three of its engine configurations. You should use an oil with a viscosity grade of SAE 5W-30 that has been certified by the American Petroleum Institute and meets GM Standard GM6094M, GM Goodwrench oil meets all the requirements for the Yukon. The Yukon has a computerized oil life system that will let You know when it is time to have the engine oil and filter changed. This is will depend on engine revolutions and engine temperature, and not on mileage. Based on driving conditions, the mileage at which an oil change will be indicated can vary considerably. For the oil life system to work properly, the system must reset every time the oil is changed.
