The 2016 GMC Canyon's oil capacity is based on the engine option in it. There are two options: the 2.5L engine which uses 5 quarts of oil; while the 3.6L engine needs 6 quarts of oil.

Well I get 2 different answers 5 quarts . Then another say 6. Which is it? Its a 2016 2wd Canyon 3.6

I was just told by a mechanic that the 3.6 takes 6 quarts.
